Armando Petit

Armando Preston Petit, born on March 1, 1945 in Panama City, Panama near the Panama Canal. Armando grew up and attended school in Panama until the age of 16. He was raised Catholic. He then moved to the United States and lived in Austin, Texas. Armando graduated from High School while mastering the English language as well as playing the trumpet and bugle. After graduation, he took advantage of many vocational avenues including attending Huston Tillotson College and St.Phillips College. He also joined the United States Navy where he received an honorable discharge and a medal. He was later employed at the University of Texas and many other labor opportunities. Armando was a free spirit and was adored by many with his friendly attitude and meekness. Armando had many interests which included reading mystery novels, listening to talk radio as well as spending time with his surrogate mothers. I'm thankful that we really got to know each other right before he became ill. Armando's smile and mild manneredness will be dearly missed!!
